Having left art college with a 2-1 degree in graphic design in 1980, before the year was out I found myself signwriting shops and garages (these were the days when plastic letters were just appearing on the horizon).This led to teaming up with John Barker , a master signwriter who had done a 7 year apprenticeship in signwriting.

Together we used to paint trucks for Mercedes Benz and other dealers and he generously gave me some vital insights in doing quality work.

Have painted a number of murals too. Notably six nursing homes for Southern Cross, the corridors and shower rooms, plus children nurseries and private homes and even occasional portraits of pets and people.
